May Is ALS Awareness Month, Here's How You Can Help Share Awareness

ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is an awful, neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It is estimated that there are 15 new cases diagnosed a day according to ALSA.org while the age range in diagnoses is usually between ages 40 and 70, it can be found in individuals in their 20's and 30's.

You may remember the popular ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos that went viral in 2014.

Our friend and musician Bryan Wayne came by for a 'Not Too Good' podcast episode where he bravely dove in on his diagnosis with ALS and how it's affected him as a songwriter and musician. You probably know him from his song "What If She's An Angel". He was diagnosed in 2017 and wanted to make his first full-length album before losing his voice. Bryan doesn't let his diagnosis hold him back or get him down and he keeps such a positive outlook while battling this hard disease.

Listen to our podcast with our friend Bryan Wayne and follow him at Bryan Wayne Music and on his page on his perspectives on life, Find The Good Stuff. Help spread awareness by signing up with iamals.org.
